My Book
A.INTRODUCTION
I was given a surprise birthday party on my 80th birthday in 2016. We were talking about life and the forks in the road. It was suggested I write a book. There are things I know about my ancestors, as well as myself, that I wanted to pass on to future generations. I started writing, and titled the book, Forks in the Road and My Travel Through Life, aka,My Book. It turned into a very large task. It took several years and resulted in 32 chapters (338 pages). It was larger than expected as I split it up so the chapters would be 20 pages or less in fairly large print. Then I decided to do a condensed version. It ended up a little over 1 page, B. biography. It resembled a very long obituary, so I shrunk it further to C. draft obit. It could be used and save somebody a hard job. I then saw there was a story within the story. It made a huge difference in my life. I thought it should be a chapter of its own. I pasted segments of several chapters into one chapter, D. marriage - How We Got Together.
The book is on my laptop in the folder mybook chapters. Backup is in the mybook folder on an orange finger drive. It is also on my Dell external hard drive.
